My Birthday Celebration
Actually my birthday is on May but my friends celebrate it on 29th June 2006. It can be count as a surprise celebration. On my birthday, my class was scold by our Physic teacher, so, we were shock and unhappy on that day. Maybe is being this reason, my friends forgot my birthday. They didn’t celebrate my birthday with me and I also forgot that day is my birthday already. After that, my friends planed the celebration on 29th June. On that day, my Chinese teacher worked with them and tries to play a trick on me. Firstly, my teacher asked me to go to the staffroom and take the “wen yan wen” dictionary. On the way to the staffroom, I felt that there was something wrong but I was still followed my teacher’s instruction, because we need not to use that dictionary for the lesson. When I came back from the staffroom, I told my teacher I couldn’t found the dictionary. Suddenly, I found that my school bag was missing and there was another new bag which is blue colour one on my chair. Another surprise again, my teacher and my entire classmate sing the birthday song together. Then I realized my friends were trying to celebrate my belated birthday with me, the blue bag with mashimaro picture on it was my present. On that time, I was very happy and felt surprising. I was laughing and laughing until my face became like a “hong ji dan”.
I truly like the bag very much, but I can’t afford to use it, because it is too cute. I am a serious person if I bring that bag to school, maybe my classmate might feel very weird. Being the status, there are many things I wish to do but I dare not do. Example, many people wish to see the look when I put my hair down in school, because I have the long and black hair but I can’t bring myself to do it because the school rule are not allow student who keep the long hair let their hair down, it will look very untidy. I hope that I am not a student who always follows the school rule but I still can’t stop myself to do that, maybe I am a timid person! I scare that if I didn’t follow the rules, I might be punished by the discipline teacher. I wish to be a normal student too!!!

Yan’s Birthday Celebration
29th June was Yan’s birthday, but we are so blur, we almost forgot already. Luckily, we remembered at last. Before the time back to home from school, Huan and Hui Ling rushed to Huan’s house and take the present. Then, another Hui Ling tried to bring Yan to the toilet for Huan and Hui Ling to escape. Actually on that day we got additional mathematic tutorial class, some of us didn’t want to stay back for that lesson and want to “ponteng” but for the sake of Yan’s birthday all of us was become very cooperate and stay back together. Haha……we were playing trick on her. Firstly, we asked our add math teacher work with us. After that, Teacher went to her place and asked her did she have any question that she couldn’t answer. Then, suddenly we sang the birthday song together; she was very surprising and having a shock. Wow, our planed done successfully! She opened the present and see that was a pair of speaker, we gave her this present because her speaker already broken. Yan is a very shy girl, but when she is with us, she doesn’t look as shy as when she is with the strange.

GAIN VS LOSS
On 31st.8.2006 our respected Ven.Dhammananda was leave us. The loss of him made every Buddhist felt very sad. Ven.Dhammananda had been contributed a lot in spreading and teaching the lessons of Buddhism. He came to Malaysia since 1952. Although Ven.Dhammananda already leave us, but his spirit for Buddhism will always alive in our heart.
By the loss of him, we gain the spirit. As a Buddhist, we shall contribute more like Ven.Dhammananda. There has been a person who asked Ven.Dhammananda what he had gain from learning Buddhism. Ven.Dhammananda replied that person said “I got to be happy”. Such a simple answer, but it means a lot. As I usual say that “Live is to be happy”. I think this is right, when we are happy the time will pass, when we are sad the time will also pass by, so why don’t we live as happy as we can everyday?
